Great Futures Start Here

01/10/2012

Dear Member of the Jennings County School Corporation Family,

We are creating a strategic plan that will impact our school corporation and the community for the future.  This strategic plan will provide the filter to make great decisions and the framework for our actions as we move forward to serve students and community.  This strategic plan will include our mission, strategic objectives, action plans, and the measurement tools to chart our progress.  In order to create a strategic plan that reflects the hopes and dreams of our community, we request participation from residents committed to the future success of our school corporation.  The participation of students, parents, community members, staff, and system leaders is necessary to help create the future of JCSC.

The strategic planning core team will be facilitated by Susan Hintz, a retired superintendent from Minnesota, who presently resides in Indiana and serves as an associate of Transformation Systems, Ltd.  TSL is a professional firm who works with organizations in our country and 38 countries throughout the world.

This letter serves as your invitation to apply to be a part of the planning process.  By applying, you may be selected to serve on one or more of the following essential teams:

  • Core Planning Team-members will contribute to the creation of a long term vision and plan for JCSC.
  • Action Planning Team-members will create the specific steps to accomplish the strategic plan.
  • Measurement Team-Members will develop the tools to monitor and assess our annual progress.

Team members will work together during the 2012-2013 school year and the results of this collaboration will be recommended to the Jennings County School Corporation School Board of Education in November of 2012.  The responsibility of your participation will require a commitment of time and energy.  Please review the obligation necessary for each team described under “Participation Opportunities” below.

In our supportive community, we anticipate a great response to help shape the future of Jennings County School Corporation.  To be considered as a participant of a working team, please complete the application and email to vmcguire@jcsc.org or send to:
